Doug Palardy, Proprietor

A Vermont native, Doug Palardy is a graduate of The Putney School and Bennington College where he studied Theatrical Design. Doug formerly operated several retail shops in Boston’s South End under the name Motley. His first foray into hospitality came in 2008 with the opening of the Ale House Inn in downtown Portsmouth and then The Hotel Portsmouth in 2014, prior to their sales in ’13 & ’15. Doug’s collection of Seacoast apartment hotels include the The Inn Downtown in Portsmouth and the Rye Motor Inn on Rye Beach.
